Chantdown Babylon

Less than two days before the 2008 VP debates and I am more than a little anxious. So much to do, so little time. The world of politics, while the rest of America may think it moves slowly, moves far too quickly for my taste. Too many politicians making too many decisions and voting on far too many bills and then making controversial statements that buzz around the media for weeks (Ohhh, you know what I mean. One guy doesn’t have enough experience to be president, some girl says Alaska and Russia are BFF, things like that).

In a word, I’m FREAKING out.

So I sit here, surrounded by my half a million yellow post-its, all meant to remind me of the very things I can’t get off my mind.

On a happier note, I am excited to not only see the Washington University campus (which I hear is very Ivy-League-ish) but also be among the throng of reporters in the media filing center. On-the-ground reporting is probably my favorite part of journalism, not to mention the most stressful. Absolutely worth it, though.
